Job Title: Team Lead - Finance, Housing Finance Company (India)
Job Summary:
We're seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our housing finance company in India. As the Finance Manager, you'll oversee critical financial operations, including Bank reconciliation, System reconciliation, and Vendor payment processing. You'll lead a team of 6-7 finance professionals to execute these tasks under your guidance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to generate accurate reports, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
- Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls. Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
- Bank Reconciliation: Oversee timely and accurate reconciliation of bank statements with financial records, resolving discrepancies for accurate reporting.
- System Reconciliation: Lead the process of reconciling financial systems, ensuring consistency and accuracy across the organization.
- Vendor Payment Management: Supervise end-to-end vendor payment process, verifying invoices, managing schedules, and ensuring timely payments.
- Team Management: Mentor and guide the finance team, providing performance feedback and fostering professional growth.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for optimization and implement efficiency measures in the finance department.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts for sound financial planning.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with senior management and address queries or concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- CA with 1 or max 2 attempts.
- 5+ years of proven experience in financial management, bank reconciliation, and vendor payment processes in housing finance or banking industry.
- Strong understanding of Indian financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
- Prior experience in leading finance teams, demonstrating effective leadership and team-building skills.
- Proficiency in financial software (SAP) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
