The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has unveiled an exciting opportunity for young minds with a passion for space and the universe. The Young Scientist Programme, affectionately known as “YUva VIgyani KAryakram” (YUVIKA), aims to ignite curiosity and impart fundamental knowledge about space science, technology, and applications to school students.

Why YUVIKA?

The primary objective of YUVIKA is to “Catch them young” by nurturing the innate curiosity of children and youth.
ISRO recognizes that today’s students are the future architects of our nation’s scientific and technological progress.
By providing exposure to space-related fields, YUVIKA aims to encourage more students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Program Highlights:

  • Interaction with ISRO Scientists: Direct engagement with experts in the field.
  • Field Visits: Visits to ISRO facilities for a behind-the-scenes look at space research.

Previous Success:

YUVIKA has been successfully conducted in 2019, 2022, and 2023.
