Importance of Teamwork and a Teamplayer

Wonderful story on the Importance of Teamwork & a Team player

Importance of Teamwork & a Team player

A mouse living on a farm saw the farmer brought a mousetrap. He ran to farmyard warning everyone about it.

The chicken said, "Mr Mouse, this trap is a grave concern to you, but it has no consequence to me".
The mouse turned to the pig "the trap is no concern of mine either."

The mouse then turned to the bull, and the same reply.

The mouse returned to the house, dejected that no one would help him.

That night the sound of a trap catching its prey was heard, so farmer's wife rushed to see. In the darkness, she could not see a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught, and it bit the farmer's wife.

The wife caught the fever and the farmer knew the best way to treat it was with chicken soup. The farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard to get the soup's main ingredient.

The wife got sicker and neighbours & relatives came by to take turns sitting with her. The farmer knew he had to feed them, so it was the pig first and then the bull, to feed all of them.

Lessons:

  • When one of the teammates is facing a problem, never think it does not concern us. Remember that when anyone in the team is in trouble, all at risk!
  • Teamwork is about achieving together!
  • No 'credit-grabbing' within the team!

“Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is a success.”- Henry Ford
