1) Format – Hiring managers in a few seconds looking for specific information like Qualifications, Work experience, Job titles & duties. This information should be transcribed and highlighted in a way that is eye-catchy. This way you are making a job a little easier for Hiring Managers and Recruiters.
2) Relevancy – Referring to the Job description (JD) (if available), In your CV, Reword the Job titles and rearrange the responsibilities handled by you so that key points are at the very top but must not change the integrity of the CV. It’s an alignment of CV with the JD or Job specification. This may drastically increase the chances to get the CV shortlisted.
3) Language – Use Power words, Informative language and mentioning of quantifiable achievements.
For example - Successfully (Power word) exceeded Business development / Sales target by 10 % (quantifiable achievement) on a daily basis (Positive & informative language).
Lastly, Critically evaluate the CV once prepared.
Pls remember by preparing the CV in proper manner, you are giving yourself best chance to get shortlisted for the next step in the hiring process.
