Job Title: Automation Tester

Experience: Minimum 5 years

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java programming, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and REST Assured for API testing. The candidate should be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and REST Assured.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand testing requirements and develop comprehensive test automation strategies.

Test Framework Development:

• Contribute to the design and implementation of test automation frameworks.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of the test automation frameworks.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):

• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for efficient and reliable test execution.
• Monitor and troubleshoot test failures in the CI/CD environment.

Test Case Design and Execution:

• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results to identify defects and performance issues.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide input on testing strategies.

Defect Management:

• Identify, document, and track defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely and effective defect resolution.

Performance and Load Testing:

• Contribute to performance and load testing efforts using appropriate tools and methodologies.

Documentation:

• Maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts.
• Provide clear and concise reports on test execution progress and results.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in test automation with a focus on Java, Selenium WebDriver, Appium, and REST Assured.
• Strong programming skills in Java and experience with automation frameworks.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of API testing using REST Assured.
• Experience in mobile application testing with Appium.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber).
• Knowledge of containerization and virtualization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• ISTQB or other relevant certifications.
